Virtual Object, Physical Interaction, Physical Object, Virtual Interaction: Balancing the Antagonism

Collections of digital artifacts, provided via each participant’s smartphone or personal media device, are sewn together through the simple programming of Pure Data. The result is a visual resembling the squares of a quilt. Audio artifacts accumulate from each device throughout your interaction with the Duilt, generating an ambient sound that holds the visual experience together, akin to the backing of a quilt. The projected digital image is both the visual, and virtual, result of this physical interaction with our physical objects and each other.
